The National Timberwolf Pups Association, an organization of the grateful sons, daughters, families and dear friends of the World War II Veterans of the 104th Infantry "Timberwolf" Division, US Army, are undertaking a capital campaign to purchase, design and emplace a Unit Tribute Plaque at the National Museum of the US Army at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.  Cost of the Tribute Plaque is $5,000.00.

A central mission of the Timberwolf Pups Association is to carry on the history, honors, valor and accomplishments of our fathers, uncles, grandfathers, other relatives and friends who marched and fought across Europe in 1944 and 1945.  Pups of today need to ensure the history is passed on to future generations and for all to see.   200 years from now no one will have to ask the question, "What did great, great granddad do in World War II?"  The Unit Tribute Plaque at the National Museum of the US Army will be a major milestone along with our other ongoing efforts.

The Timberwolf Pups are leading the way to raise money for the Unit Tribute Plaque.  It is incumbent on the Pups to make this happen.  Your monetary contributions will be greatly appreciated.

To borrow from MG Terry Allen and the Timberwolf battle moto, "Nothing will stop the Timberwolf's unit tribute plaque".

Timberwolf Pup point of contact is LTC (Ret) Kent A. Smith, tel: (503) 837-0218, e-mail [email protected] and postal address at 677 Maxwell Avenue S, Monmouth, Oregon 97361.

A historic event is taking shape along the Potomac River just outside of Washington, DC. A magnificent state-of-the-art facility will be built as a national landmark to honor America’s Soldiers, preserve the history of America’s oldest military branch, and educate all Americans about the Army’s role in our nation’s development.

The National Museum of the U.S. Army will serve as the capstone of the Army Museum System and provide the only comprehensive portrayal of Army history and traditions. The Museum will celebrate the selfless service and sacrifice of over 30 million men and women who have worn the Army uniform since 1775.

We need everyone's help to do it. Including you.

To send donations via mail, please make checks out to the National Army Museum Fund and write 104th Infantry Division Unit Tribute in the memo line.

Mail checks to:  The Army Historical Foundation, ATTN: Samantha Chavez, 1775 Liberty Dr., Suite 400, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060.

Your contribution will take us one step closer to making the Museum a reality.
